Training Schedule

NorthlandLOA is committed to developing and delivering comprehensive training to keep our member officials at the top of their game.

NOTE: All scheduled in-person and Zoom classes for 2022 have been completed, but we will be scheduling one more set of live Level 1 Zoom classes for late August or early September of 2022 so people can work fall and winter games. Please see the training guide for your level to get started with training and send an email to get added to the list of people who want to do the live Zoom training. If you cannot make the dates and times we schedule, you will still be able to complete training by watching the recordings and then getting quizzed via Zoom.

The following training options are being provided. Exact requirements are detailed in the training guide, but all Northland officials are welcome to attend any of these classes (including Level 1 classes). Registration links, Google Meet links, and directions for classroom sessions will be provided closer to the date of each session. You must have your Northland dues paid and have insurance through MSHSL or USA Lacrosse to participate. Topics marked with an asterisk are appropriate for new officials hoping to gain a better understanding of officiating.

All sessions are via Google Meet, except for March 4, which will also be held in person.

Sessions will be recorded for people who are unable to make the dates offered, but in most cases there will be a required quiz (via Google Meet or Google Forms) for people who do not attend then live sessions.

See the Additional Training Options in the second column for extra sessions on specific topics for all officials.

You can subscribe to the Northland LOA Training Calendar Feed to have all of the training options automatically show up in your Apple or Google calendar.
